We left about 9-30 and headed for St. Albans a very old town north of London. While we were there we saw the Cathedral and went around the lake. We also went to the open market that they had along the street. We arrived at Wendy & Richards in London about 4-45 and settled in and had a cuppa and chat about all we had done over the past weeks. We then went to tea at The Dove ( a very old pub which Hugh Grant visits but we didnt see him.) We had a very nice meal and then walked back along the Thames crossed on the Hammersmith Bridge and got back and went to rooms for an early night.

Sunday 11th July 2010 Day 29
Saturday 10th July 2010 Day 28
Our first full day in Edinburgh was raining ,but we set off into town to go to the Royal Mile and the Castle. We didnt think that we would be able to go to the Palace as the Queen was in town and they close it for security reasons. It rained pretty much all day but we shopped and visited the castle but it became quite wet and foggy in the end. Although it did look good with the fog. We had tea at a pub in the royal mile and then caught the bus home.
